Water pipe sawed off in the Jordan Valley, January 2017

On 10 Jan. 2017 the Civil Administration destroyed a pipeline running from the village of ‘Atuf, in Area A, to three small farmer-shepherd communities in Area C not hooked up to the water grid. The pipe had been laid with aid and funding from an international humanitarian organization. Residents replaced the ruined pipeline (again with funding by aid organizations), but on 20 Jan. it too was destroyed. The communities suffer severe water shortages and must rely on costly water tank delivery.
